Booksellers

All along the Seine there are booksellers who hock their wares out of metal containers. There are used and rare books, comic books, postcards, posters and mini Eiffel Towers.

And when they are done for the evening they can just lock up the boxes and move on, they don’t have to carry their entire book collection home. The boxes stay right there! It’s incredible, a mini store.

I wonder what kind of security system they have. I think it’s just a really sturdy padlock, like on a your middle school locker, but in French, maybe it’s metric.
