Gerard Mulot

Some of the most beautiful French art is not in a museum, but in Gerard Mulot’s patisserie. These suckers are masterpieces. I don’t want to eat them for the guilt and fear of desecrating holy relics. But, that fear will pass and true joy will come to you. While the petits gâteaux are incredible, my true love is the macarons.

Do not confuse the French macaron with the lumpy, crunchy, not to mention, very unfashionable macaroon. The macaron consists of two meringue halves sandwiching a ganache center. A good macaron is delicately crunchy on the outside yielding to a soft scrumptious center. And if the guilt is still too much, this is Paris, I’m sure you can find a church to help you change your sinful ways.
